Buckingham Fountain Underground Tours

Parkways Foundation and Chicago Park District are teaming up to offer visitors a rare chance to tour Chicago’s Buckingham Memorial Fountain and its underground pump works. 

Learn more about the city’s iconic monument with 30-minute tours led by Julia Bachrach, Chicago Park District Historian, offered each Friday at 12 noon and again at 12:30pm.

  • Dates: July 16, 23, 30 & August 6, 13, 20, 27
  • Hours: 12:00pm & 12:30pm
  • Location: Buckingham Fountain at Grant Park, 500 S. Congress Parkway
  • Admission: $50/ticket - all proceeds from the tours will benefit the restoration of Buckingham Fountain
